Since November 2010, Curt has served as Director of the Open Source Lab (OSL) and associated K-12 outreach activities. During his tenure as OSU's CIO, he was part of the creation of the OSL which is now recognized as one of the world’s leading open source labs. His primary outreach activity is around the partnership with the Oregon Department of Education in the development of the technology platform for the Oregon Virtual School District (ORVSD) which provides innovative open source tools to Oregon’s teachers and students. In addition, Curt serves as elected chair of the Accelerate Oregon Foundation and on the Board of Free Geek.
